Following extensive and successful summer season Athletics Club athletes Totana, Saturday evening August 6 took place on the coast of La Manga del Mar Menor the third edition of the Cross of Cape Palos , was a distance test of 5300 meters and had a stake in the race complete, almost a thousand athletes, among whom there were a good representation of Totana CAT, demonstrating that many athletes of the club are in great shape this summer.
This year, the Cross was a character in solidarity with those affected by the earthquakes of Lorca.
At 19h and over 35 degree heat started the race from the Avenida del Puerto.
Nine were Totana CAT athletes who attended the race highlighting the good form of Edward Lucas, who finished with a time of 19:52, ranking 30 overall.
Fulgencio Garcia followed with finished fourth in 20:09 Veterans category B, only seconds from the podium.
The third athlete from the club was Francisco Javier totanero Lucas, who stopped the clock in 20:34.
Shortly after Eusebio Martinez crossed the finish line in 20:41.
Andres Lopez finished the cross in 21:12.
At 22:34 came Pedro A.
Redondo, followed by Antonio Lucas did 22:34.

Pedro Redondo followed with a time of 23:59 and Juan Francisco arrived at 26:11.
History was also the club that morning, the first complete an athlete of the grueling Totana CAT International Ascent to Pico Veleta.
Club Athlete of Manuel Jiménez Benítez, the race began at 7 am, along with more than 300 athletes from the Paseo del Salon in Granada to finish at almost 3400 meters in the same Veleta peak, after 50 miles of continuous increase, with a positive cumulative drop of 2700 meters, marking a great lap of 6h: 58:29.
With all this in the coming days will remain the most active athletes totaneros, having already Grande'11 Pond for the next event August 20 as queen of the summer, but before the tide will be the presence of yellow in the night races Bolnuevo and booklets, the Cross of Dawn in the Alicante town of El Campello, Raising the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Peña Cehegín Chirivel Urban Race in Almeria or the Cross of Wine in Jumilla.
