Totana families with children of school age can apply until next June 22 aid to purchase textbooks and supplementary teaching materials and computer, aimed at students in the compulsory levels of education and enrolled in schools supported by public funds for the school year 2011/12.
These grants are called by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment of the Region of Murcia.
The amounts of each award granted under this call are: 110 euros for students in first, second, third, fourth, fifth or sixth level of primary education, and 150 euros for students in first, second, third or fourth level of secondary school, respectively.
These grants include the purchase of textbooks for the education level that students go to study in 2011/12, workbooks or exercises related to the different materials for courses (including computer media with that content) and materials deemed necessary for students with specific educational support needs.
Similarly, it includes support material like dictionaries and atlas, literary material for comment text or other materials necessary for the development of the curriculum of the course.
Furthermore, such aid does not include stationery, games, apparel, footwear, musical instruments, sports goods, etc.
As a novelty compared to previous years, will be required to get the aid that the income of the household does not exceed certain thresholds.
The deadline for applications is fifteen working days from the day following the publication of this Order in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia.
For collecting applications and more information, interested families can ask questions in the secretariats of the schools attended by their children.
