Inauguration of the Center for Lower Guadalentín Carriers (10/06/2011)

The Acting Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and Councilman Acting Industry, José Antonio Valverde Queen inaugurated the Center for Lower Guadalentín Carriers, an infrastructure that will improve the competitiveness of enterprises totaneras to have a station service and storage for trucks.

This new infrastructure will serve more than 150 companies installed in the industrial and the rest of the regional fleet, given its strategic location near major arteries in the region: the Mediterranean motorway, the Totana, Mazarron and Alhama-Campo de Cartagena.

This new complex, which has received an investment of about one million euros, has been inaugurated with a visit by the Acting Industry councilor Jose Antonio Valverde Queen, and Acting Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo.

The station, powered by Proinvitosa and carried out by the company totanera ETOS has a total area of ​​6,400 square meters, a supplier and four hoses for the supply of diesel as well as pre-installation for liquefied gas tank Pressure (LPG), with an initial investment of approximately 325,000 euros.

Also, parking is home to more than thirty large trucks and about 20 cars.

In addition, the project for the next phase includes a 1,000 square meter plot for the construction of a garage, laundry and shop, among other services.

Both facilities have a total investment of 948,122 euros, of which 81,904 euros will be provided by the regional government, through the Instituto de Fomento (info), for the provision of equipment and value-added services that contribute to the development of economic activity of both business and home to the polygon to be installed in the future.

In the past two years, Europe has invested 320,185 euros these industrial facilities.

This industrial park was developed by Proinvitosa and began promotion in 1991.

It has nearly 1.5 million square feet of the nearly 900,000 are urbanized, so they have enough land to accommodate future expansion and new industry initiatives.

Among the equipment of this infrastructure is the Local Development Centre of the City, a business incubator, sports, health care for children, two hotels and leisure services.
