The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has signed two agreements with Caritas Interparroquial amounting to 18,000 euros, thus to triple the amount of money that is derived from these two organizations that help hundreds of families who are going Totana real problems.
This new agreement for 2011 becomes an indispensable aid to Caritas to respond to the demand for totaneras families that are facing worse economic crisis resulting from the acts and each day goes on rising.
Martínez Andreo, escorted by the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrión, explained that now more than ever is the administration that has to help all families, and in this sense the city of Totana is always going to gamble and launch initiatives that seek to improve the quality and life of these people.
The mayor has indicated that up from 3,000 to 18,000 euros grant the two Cartitas, the church of Santiago and the Three Hail Mary's convent, will be able to carry out thanks to cut current expenditure and the drop in payrolls to be run with respect to the 2011 municipal budget this week will be approved.
Thanks to this effort to contain, according to the mayor, also increased social emergency items such as the RACI (social emergency program aimed at helping people with real problems and who are unemployed) or Standing Support Service .
Martínez Andreo has indicated that, once again, we show the involvement of the government team, which also promote measures to create jobs to help revitalize the local economy, is reaching out to urgent situations.
