The General Assembly of Local Economic Development and Use of Totana yesterday met the guidelines set by the local forum of Employment and Technical Education through which planning strategies to create more employment from the current crisis.

The Councillor for Industry, José Antonio Valverde Queen, recalled that the City of Totana in its policy of promoting local employment, constituted on January 21, 2009 the first local Council for Economic Development and Employment Region Murcia.

The fundamental purpose of this organization is to plan development projects to promote job creation with the implementation of specific initiatives taken by all representatives of business and social fabric to curb the impact of the crisis between citizens of the municipality.

Representatives of the business world, social and political development of the municipality, as responsible business groups, associations of disabled and professional associations, trade unions, members of political groups, municipal technicians, among others, participated in the General Assembly held in the afternoon yesterday .

Queen Valverde explained that the components of the Technical Forum has held numerous meetings since 2009 and has emerged thanks to them the design of a document entitled "Strategy and Action Plan for the Integration of People in Socially Disadvantaged in Totana ".

This plan, as the mayor recalled, was approved unanimously by the Full Council last conducted in February and includes the strategic, operational objectives and specific actions considered necessary to increase the possibilities of integrating women and men at risk of social exclusion.

The main strategic lines on the issue in the document are:

Strategic Line A.

Promote and support mechanisms to support new strategies aimed at the improvement of employability of groups at risk of exclusion (CRE).

Strategic Line B.

Increasing employment possibilities of people at risk of exclusion through different means and promote alternative forms of integration between the CRE.

Strategic Line C.

Encourage participation of people at risk of exclusion in training.

D. Strategic Line

Increase awareness about the social and business reality of people at risk of exclusion, promoting the involvement of individuals and organizations representing socially excluded groups in the advocacy strategies used.

Strategic Line E.

Promote the consolidation and implementation of projects that respond to needs related to the world of work by groups at risk of exclusion.

F. Strategic Line

Designing public policies to intervene in the exclusion area of integrated action oriented and designed to incorporate the activities at the regional level.

Also, also discussed at the last meeting of Regional Working Groups, organized by the PuntoPyme-INFO, formed by the agents of local employment and development of the whole region of Upper and Lower Guadalentín was decided that the Institute of Development the Region of Murcia (INFO) conduct a study on two main themes, it will be one of them about the possibilities of entrepreneurship and self in relation to tourism in the region and also the issue of companies related to Agriculture, Livestock and Food Industry.

Also, the mayor of Development and Employment informed the conclusion of the Second Conference for Intercultural Dialogue and Solidarity in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, University of Seville and working together the Department of Industry, Development and Employment with Department of Social Welfare and Citizenship.

To do so will be held five workshops that will provide adequate training to encourage entrepreneurship, giving participants the tools and resources necessary for self-employment.

However, Valverde Queen has indicated that the implementation of the Local Council for Economic Development and Use of Totana is a very important business and social fabric of the municipality, as a body of sector participation and create as fundamental instrument of dialogue and consensus around the development and employment policies.
