The Department of Social Welfare, through the Municipal Senior Centers, has recently opened two workshops to be held for two weeks in order to promote social interaction between this group and develop their skills through the performance of these craft activities.
These training activities have been organized in collaboration with the CAM through the "Program-Elderly people active."
The area's councilman, John Carrion, along with the entire Board of the Centre have encouraged members of the Municipal Senior Centers to participate in these activities.
On the other hand, a total of 14 students of the course "Business and Bolillo" Municipal Center Senior Totana with his instructor, Pepi Hernandez, have had the opportunity to visit the Association of Friends of Bolillo of Murcia, where exchanged experiences on the implementation of this craft work.
Furthermore, with these artisan activities have also been carried out the "Days of Listening to the Elders of Totana, in collaboration with the Telephone of Hope Amit, to provide attendees with the tools necessary to improve their self-esteem and personal knowledge.
Also during the month of December also made a number of other activities as the disposal of the Indoor Pool Spa, a Lecture Workshop on waste and recycling, as well as the activities of the Christmas and Dance with New Year's Eve.
