The incomparable setting of the chapel of Santa Eulalia hosted Friday night presentation of the twelfth edition of "The Journal of the Holy" coinciding with the start of the festivities in honor of Santa Eulalia, in a ceremony attended by a large public.
During this emotional event took place the inauguration of the new steward of Santa Eulalia, Rafael Hostench, who received the staff of his predecessor, Alfonso Martinez, who has been the steward for the past eight years.
Responsible for presenting this publication were the mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, President of the Foundation's Santa and pastor of the church Santiago, Antonio Salvador Pérez, patrons of the Foundation and the coordinator of the notebooks, Juan Canovas Mulero, including other officials.
The magazine, with the cooperation of the City, savings institutions and private companies in the municipality, has this year with a total of 271 high quality pages, including numerous images and illustrations, and includes more than thirty articles, studies and reflections on the patron.
The mayor said the research, disclosure and dissemination of the cult elulaliense through "The Journal of The Holy" that contained several articles on the virgin, the Sanctuary, and the culture and customs of Totana.
He also thanked all the writers their collaboration in the magazine and called for continuing work for Santa Eulalia without sparing efforts to continue the ingrained devotion to the Virgin.
In addition, highly appreciated the role played by Alfonso Martinez during these eight years at the helm of this important responsibility as being the butler of Santa Eulalia and recalled that all his work, in the hands of other patrons, has been worthwhile and has been rewarded with the warmth of the people and their devotion to Santa Eulalia.
He also congratulated for their new venture Hostench as Butler and said that this challenge will be exceeded as it has been demonstrated many times in good work of Raphael.
