The Department of Housing reported on the aid program of rehabilitation of buildings driven by regional and state plan (13/10/2010)

The Councillor for Housing, M ª José Bedia, has reported on the housing rehabilitation assistance, including within the Regional and State Plan 2009-2012 Housing, through which beneficiaries can access different types of aid, which can reach to 75 percent of the total cost of the work.

The mayor explained that the beneficiaries of such aid can be the owners of homes or buildings, tenants authorized by the owner and owner communities.

Aid for rehabilitation of housing can apply to both private property and for works relating to common elements of buildings and for the dwellings included within those buildings.

Grants ranging from energy efficiency actions to work to improve accessibility, structural safety and tightness of the building.

As stated by Bedia, funding for rehabilitation protected actions referred to the Housing Plan will consist of loans agreed with or without subsidization, accompanied in the latter case of grants in respect of works for the rehabilitation of buildings and subsidies in the case of housing.

In the case of aid for the rehabilitation of homes, applicants over 65 or people with disabilities are eligible for a grant of up to 65% of the cost of the work, with a maximum of 10,500 €, while the generic case the owners can reach up to € 8,400 people over 35 years and € 9,700 young people aged less than or equal to 35 years.

In addition, young applicants with disabilities who intended the works more accessible and better adapted housing assistance can access a maximum of 11,800 € for 75% of the cost of the work, in the case of applicants over 65 years with disabilities may earn a maximum of 10,500 € for 65% of the cost of the works.

The mayor has suggested that those interested in applying for grants relating to the common elements in buildings, can also apply for aid to private homes, as these two aid compatible.

Housing for those seeking such aid should be targeted at habitual residence or to lease (at least for a period of five years).

As for the works which aim to ensure and enhance the security and leak, the building hosted such action must have a minimum of five years.

Those interested in receiving information about these grants can go through the Department of Housing, located in the old building of Contributions, Monday through Thursday from 09:30 hours to 13:30 hours.
