The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, accompanied by Councillor Development and Employment, José Antonio Valverde Reina, have come to the inauguration of Campus Lorca, an infrastructure in which the Community has invested 24 million euros, and totaneros allows youth to enroll in a reference center closest to your municipality.
The building was inaugurated by President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, and the Minister for Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marin, the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, the rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Felix Faure, among other public figures.
In this campus a total of 130 students begin classes on October 13 in grades of Nursing and Human Nutrition and Dietetics, which manages the University of Murcia.
In addition, this course will also provide the Master of Social Economy, organized by the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena.
The new campus, set up by the regional government together with the Government of Lorca and public universities in the region, and designed by architect Martin Lejarreta, has three main buildings, located on a parcel of 27,000 square meters, plus an underground parking for 275 vehicles.
Specifically, the first building is intended for general services, administration, management, direction and departments, with over 40 offices and a hall of 250 square meters.
The school building has four floors and is equipped with lounges, five laboratories, eight classrooms for practice and demonstration and three classrooms for theory.
Also, the campus has a building for the library, which are also located a newspaper library, two computer rooms, reading rooms and study a general dependence.
