The Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle" in collaboration with the Instituto Murciano Social Action and the city of Totana resumes training activities that were being developed within the project "Labor: A step towards the employability, with funding through European Social Funds.
Last week began the "Workshop on Social Skills for Employment" will last 40 hours.
This course, attended by 16 people, which takes place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30 to 13.30, and addresses issues such as conflict resolution, decision making and Participation and Citizenship.
Through this project is to inform, guide and accompany the process of preparation and research to get a job to the unemployed with special difficulties in access to employment.
Is an initiative of socio-professional nature, whereby it is intended to facilitate the employment of those persons in the town of Totana that risk or suffering from social exclusion are interested in actively participating in the change of unemployment.
In addition to this training activity, the Labor Project since its inception in November 2007 has developed 27 courses in which more than 250 people from the municipality and of these 27 courses, 7 have been "Social Skills for Employment", 5 "Techniques of active job search", 4 Computers, 1 session "monograph for drug prevention" and workshops last 10 trades (hair and beauty, shop, hotel, care for dependents , painting, kindergarten assistant, etc.)..
The work carried out within the area of training is complemented by the design of individual integration routes developed through individual tutorial guidance, support and monitoring.
Since its inception, the technical team of the Labor Project has addressed the mentoring process in search of employment from a multifactorial perspective, for this reason, in addition to providing information and training to unemployed, working locally with the business, developing depth studies of the actual situation of the labor market, raising awareness among employers of social responsibility and employment gaps detected.
On the other hand, they are also integral social attention to all project participants, informing them about local resources, made together in those cases where necessary, intervening on issues or conflicts with the environment, etc.
Finally, the collective "The Candle" noted that through this project has been achieved in the last year the employment of more than 30 people, despite the current difficult situation in the labor market, so it is a positive assessment of the actions taken and the results obtained through these.
