Totana City Council has made great efforts to improve infrastructure and adequate social infrastructure of rural roads of La Huerta communications have improved the hamlet to the town.

There are also two major projects underway that will improve both the infrastructure such as communication access.

On the one hand, the rehabilitation of the road Totana-Ermita Virgen de las Huertas increase driver safety and improve access to homes and farms located along the track.

The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways, will invest 604,595 euros for the RM-C7 road connecting the town of Totana to the shrine of the Huerta.

The main objective of the project is to increase the safety of the track to improve visibility and drainage, and access to homes and farms located along the 4.5 miles of travel.

On the other hand, has done a study to be presented to the Autonomous Region to improve water supply, especially in the summer.

This project, which consists of an investment of 500,000 euros, will allow residents of this area who do not suffer more water shortages that occur during the summer due to increased population.
