A total of 24 couples have registered for the tournament I Paddle "Fiestas de El Paretón" held from today until next Friday night at the new runways built at the Sports Complex "Guadalentín" of this parish, and to be held on the occasion of the festivities in honor of the Virgen del Rosario.
The competition, organized by the Neighborhood Association and The Paretón Department of Sports totanero consistory, will be held throughout the week, with matches taking place from 19:00 to 23:00 hours, respectively.
Participants paid a fee of 10 euros per couple and the matches will be played until next Friday to take place in the final of the tournament, coinciding with the inauguration of the new paddle tennis court by the municipal authorities from 22:00.
The councilman of Deportes, José Antonio Valverde, explained that since his department, the hand of partnership and the new neighbor Paddle Club de Totana, it was decided to make this infrastructure and promote this sport in the village with its implementation value by holding a competition within the sports events of the festivities.
He also recalled that the Presidential awarded a grant of 47,049.60 euros to finance the construction of the track, which gives the sports complex of the Paretón of the most modern and advanced infrastructure for the practice of different sports .
