More than 150 children Totana aged between 3 and 12 participated during the month of July activities in the Summer Schools, which have been carried out in schools, "Tierno Galván" and " Santiago. "
Summer Schools, developed each year by the Youth Council in collaboration with the Association "Different Action" under the "Summer Youth 2010", where children have enjoyed many fun and educational activities from 09:30 13:30 hours Monday to Thursday throughout the month of July.
Specifically, the CEIP "Tierno Galván" have involved 50 children from 3 to 7 years and 32 from 8 to 12, and the CEIP "Santiago" have turned 46 children aged 3 to 7 years and 22 children from 8 to 12.
From the Department has worked to keep this activity, which each year has more influx of children, under the same conditions and even improving services, expanding in a half hour schedule with previous years.
The purpose of these Summer Schools is to ensure a space of leisure where creativity reigns, participatory work, fun and entertainment through creative workshops and expression, games, trips to the theme park "Terra Natura" for children and "Aqua Natura" for the elderly, musical, sports, leisure activities and holidays.
Also among its goals is to support working parents who require this service summer
This is an initiative, which besides being one of the best activities where children learn while they play during the holidays, is also a commitment of the government team for the employment of youth in the municipality, for a total of 14 monitors have been hired to develop the workshops by various actions.
From the Youth Council have encouraged the general public to participate in the activities under the "Summer Youth Program" to be developed in the remainder of August.
