H. AUTONOMIC.
SCHOOL CLUB TOTANA 4 - UCAM CARTAGENA TM 2.
Match played on Saturday morning at the Manolo Ibáñez Pavilion.
They played for the local team Pepe Carreño, Abraham López and Julián Cerón.
For the visiting team Irene and Lorena Gómez-Vázquez and Ana Torres, the women's base team of the UCAM Cartagena.
Cerón began with Irene.
More constant and sure totanero won 3-1.
Abraham then gave a very clear first game to Lorena.
It improved in the second and it equaled to 1 but Lorena returned to be solid and won the following two.
Pepe Carreño, offensive and safe at times surpassed in the next point to Ana Torres advancing again to his team.
Cerón this time could not and, again, Lorena more solid won another point for his team putting again the tie in the overall score.
Pepe started stronger and offensive than Irene putting 2-0.
The player of the UCAM struggled and managed to tie to 2. Fifth game matched, very well disputed and with good points of the two players although Pepe was the one who finally was more aggressive and successful achieving the 3-2.
The last point at stake between Abraham and Ana. The totanero took advantage at the beginning of Ana's mistakes that later improved, although Abraham was finally able to take advantage of his attacks and win 3-1, closing the match in the final 4-2.
NEXT WEEKEND VALLADOLID STATE TOURNAMENT AND THE 1ST AUTONOMY BEGINS.
The next weekend the State Tournament in Valladolid takes place from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 February.
This tournament is played by the best players in the national ranking of the base categories (from Benjamin to under 23).
Of the Club Totana TM are classified for this tournament Gabriel Sánchez in category Alevín, Alejandro López in Infantil and Julián Méndez in Sub23.
In addition Pepe Carreño is ranked 48th in the national ranking as the first reserve and will play in case there is any loss.
It is the most important national tournament after the Spanish Championships of all the categories that have just been announced to be held at the High Performance Athletics Center of Antequera from June 23 to July 1.
Also begins the 1st autonomic in which will enter the competition a fifth team of Totana formed by the smallest of the Club School.
It will be played by concentrations playing two days in each concentration.
The first day will be precisely in Totana next Saturday 17 at the Manolo Ibáñez Pavilion.
