They grant subsidies to the City Council for a total amount of 10,600 euros for the development of social projects to support families in situations of vulnerability and conflict with dependent children (28/12/2017)

The Ministry of Family and Equality of the Autonomous Community has granted subsidies to the City of Totana for a total of 10,644.74 euros to develop two social projects to support family and childhood, as reported by the Department of Social Welfare.

The projects cited refer to one of support for the coverage of basic needs of families in a situation of vulnerability and another to support families in conflict with dependent children.

The aid, which has been accepted by the Local Government Board, is granted under Decree 280/2017, of December 13, which regulates the direct granting of subsidies to City Councils and Social Services Associations of the Region of Murcia aimed at development of actions to support the family and childhood (2nd phase).

The first of the projects aims to support the coverage of the basic needs of families with minors who are in a serious situation of social vulnerability, in situations of severe material deprivation or at risk of poverty with their children, whose help is 1,915.73 euros.

This is aimed at alleviating and improving the situation of social vulnerability of families, covering basic needs, among others, food, hygiene and clothing;

or facilitating access to other services such as health, education (school supplies or aids for dining), housing (rent and improvement of living conditions of housing and supplies) and employment, as well as accompaniment and social work with the families.

The other project is to support families in conflict with dependent children, amounting to 8,729.61 euros, and involves hiring staff.

This is aimed at families that present a situation of conflict in the field of coexistence that is having a negative impact on its members, generating serious difficulties in their internal relations, especially in minors.

In this case, an assessment of each situation detected will be carried out and families will be informed and guided to eliminate the factors that distort their coexistence dynamics;

so that, in a transversal way, a work coordinated with the resources of the environment will be articulated for the treatment of said situations.
