Today begins the traffic diversions by the repair of a bridge in the A-7 to its passage by the municipal term of Totana (16/10/2017)

The Ministry of Public Works is executing the works of correction of differential seats in the overpass on road and rail, at kilometer 615 of the A-7 dual carriageway, in the surroundings of Totana.

For this reason, starting today and until November 17, weekends included, will proceed to divert traffic.

The budget for this action amounts to 1.5 million euros.

The accumulation of rainwater, problems with the drainage of the same and the work of crossing the motorway with the line of the Murcia-Lorca FFCC, have produced a decrease of the bridge stirrups, which currently generate discomfort in the driving of the users on the road, especially for drivers.

To restore the original slope, works are carried out to lift the board from the structure to the same height that it had when it was built.

In the execution of this work, synchronized hydraulic jacks are used, which allow to accurately reposition the whole board in its exact position.

Previously, the work has been to improve and consolidate the ground on which the bridge is based by the use of injections of high pressure cement grout.

In order to finish the planned works, there are still works of rehabilitation of the firm on the roads towards Almería, for which a diversion of traffic is required for the causeway Murcia.
