The plenary session of the City Council of Totana approved last night, with the votes in favor of the PP and Ganar Totana-IU and abstention of the PSOE and the mayor not attached, the Popular Party motion, which was reinforced in its claims with an amendment of Ganar Totana -IU, supporting the regional government in the defense and subsistence of the Arruí, to be removed from the list of invasive species by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Environment.
The initiative also proposes a model of hunting management, including prevention of damage that gives guarantees and generates confidence in the system, farmers and owners of the regional park of Sierra Espuña.
In addition, it is advocated to elaborate a Hunting Management Plan for five years and outsource the support to that management, seeking to increase the efficiency of the mode and especially the prevention of damages (delivery of fencing mesh and the enforcement of fences).
It also calls for a quick management of compensation in this regard and capacity for reinvestment in the game reserve, as well as the very specific endogenous use to encourage sustainable rural development.
Likewise, in the agreed proposal that urges the Autonomous Community to be responsible for carrying out a control of the arruí and of all those measures that are necessary for this.
The corporations agreed, with the votes in favor of the PSOE and Ganar Totana-IU, the abstention of the PP and the against of the non-attached councilman, to nominate a street or public space of Totana to Juan Quiñonero Gálvez and Luz Martínez Pérez for concurring in them all the qualities and merits that make them creditors of this honor and distinction.
A unanimous green light was given to the motion of Sports Councilor, Isabel María Molino, to declare Totana a Free City of Violence in sport, carrying out a series of actions, such as condemning all acts of violence, racism , xenophobia, machismo, homophobia and intolerance in sport.
In addition, in the initiative of the mayor of Sports is advocated from the Departments of Sports and Education campaigns and training and awareness actions with schools, clubs and sports organizations in the city that include family, players and coaches, addressing the importance of sport values ​​and the prevention of violence in it.
The Plenum unanimously agreed to the motion of the PSOE to request that, based on the serious economic situation that the City suffers, the Autonomous Community has the same treatment as the municipalities of less than 20,000 inhabitants, and therefore, subsidize 50 % of the annual fees that the Consistory pays to the Fire Extinguishing Consortium, with the consequent saving of 182,500 euros for the municipal coffers.
The City Council stated, unanimously voting on the Ganar Totana-IU motion, its rejection of the activities of exploitation and extraction of gas by means of the known technique of the hydraulic fracture, popularly known as "fracking"), and urges the Autonomous Community to the drafting of a standard which, in the use of its environmental competences, prohibits it until sufficient guarantees on its safety and environmental reliability are available.

In the same proposal it is requested to request an increase of the economic benefits that at present are insufficient to attend to the dependents, as well as the elimination of the co-payment that causes that they do not allow to cover the necessary expenses and that is the reason why numerous dependents have had to give up tele-assistance, since they can not afford the monthly cost of the service.
In addition, more investments are requested for the maintenance and remodeling of facilities that are obsolete, construction of new centers for care of dependents that allows to increase the ratios of professional attention to the dependents and to improve the training of the workers of the Centers.
The plenary approved, with the votes in favor of the PP, PSOE and non-attached mayor and the abstention of Ganar Totana-IU, the popular support movement of the City Council to the regional government in defense for the maintenance of water tariffs, in its request to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Environment so that water tariffs are not applied until there are new transfers of the Tajo-Segura.

The councilors agreed, with the votes in favor of the PP and Ganar Totana-IU, the motion of the Popular Group requesting the implementation of the operation of the bar-cafeteria service of the municipal park;
and that this contract be signed on the date of commencement of the works that are necessary for its opening and completion date for the start-up of the cafeteria bar as soon as possible.
Likewise, it was agreed, with the votes in favor of the PP, PSOE and non-attached councilman and the abstention of Ganar Totana-IU, that from the City Council will be held on October 12, the act of homage to the Spanish flag.
The Plenary supported, with the favorable votes of Ganar Totana-IU and PSOE and the abstention of the PP and the mayor not attached, the motion of Ganar Totana-IU to eliminate the proposal of implementation of the module of FP "Bullfighting and Auxiliary Activities Livestock" , to revert the rights of workers made during these years of cuts in education and to recover the money spent on operating expenses of schools, whose budget has been drastically reduced in recent years.
Finally, the corporations agreed, with the votes in favor of Ganar Totana-IU, PSOE and edil not ascribed and against the PP, that the City Council will unite and support unconditionally the demands of the "Proliferation Platform" of Murcia;
and that political responsibilities are demanded both by the Government delegate and the Minister of Public Works for the police charges ordered against the demonstrators.
In this regard, it was also agreed to urge that a dialogue be initiated between the parties to allow the movement of people with the AVE stop at Beniel, as long as the burial of the roads is not undertaken, as promised from the Government and which now demand the Murcia.
