From Ganar Totana we demand through a motion to the plenary, a solution for the emergency situation of the 3,978 dependents who are not receiving any kind of help in our Region and also denounce the dire management of the Central and Regional Governments in relation to the Dependency Law.
After knowing the last report of the Association of Directors and Managers of Social Services, we have learned that 120,000 Large Dependents continue to be unheeded in our country while the figures of the System are incorporated by adding Moderate Dependents with low cost services.
Every day, about 100 dependents die in Spain without receiving the benefit or service to which they have a recognized right.
More than 18,000 people died in this situation in this first half of 2017 and more than 40,000 were in 2016. To this national panorama, we must add the continuous cuts in the area of ​​Regional Social Policy, which place our Autonomous Community as a of the worst evaluated in terms of dependency management.
3,978 people in this region do not receive any benefits despite having a firmly approved resolution and are on the waiting list, regardless of the severity and degree that has been recognized.
This has a significant impact on the funding key, as the increased support needs of people with grades III and II generally make their care more costly and the Regional Government resolves this issue with a high number of low-cost benefits such as teleassistance.
Through this initiative we intend the following: request to streamline the processes from the beginning of the application to the resolution of the degree of disability granted.
An increase in the resources destined to the care and care of the people with dependency in Residential Centers, Centers of Disabled, Centers of Day, and Assistance to Home.
Increased economic benefits that are currently insufficient to care for dependents, as well as the elimination of the co-payment that causes them to not cover the necessary expenses.
Investments for maintenance and remodeling of facilities that are obsolete, construction of new centers for care of dependents.
As well as demanding compliance with the Dependency Law and that all dependents have access to the services and benefits that correspond to them by right.
We denounce the scarce investment in residential centers and day centers, as well as coverage with low-cost benefits to Large Dependents or Severe Dependents, who are the ones that require the most attention and with greater urgency.
And we demand a change of policy in which the center of attention are affected, above any economic consideration.
