Totana City Council will receive a total of 361,464.21 euros from the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, through the Public Employment Service (SEPE) to promote the agricultural employment of casual workers of the Special System of Agricultural Workers in depressed rural areas;
And that will allow to hire 11 5 workers who will carry out works of projects of general and social interest in this municipality.
This has been communicated by the Regional Commission for Monitoring the Promotion of Agrarian Employment to the Consistory totanero, which is one of the municipalities that receive the greatest aid in this call for 2017, only behind the municipalities of Cieza and Moratalla, respectively.
This program fulfills the dual function of favoring the training and professional practice of the unemployed, and the subsidy is basically intended to finance the salary costs and the business contribution of the unemployed workers hired.
In the Region of Murcia will benefit from the project a total of 22 municipalities, which will receive a total subsidy of almost 4.6 million euros.
The start of the works varies according to the town councils, although the execution of these must coincide with periods of low agricultural activity, which favors the work of eventual agrarians outside the campaigns.
The works that are going to be realized in the municipality of Totana basically refer to cleaning of ramblas and rural roads, arrangement of parks and gardens and conditioning sidewalks street Juan XXIII;
And will be undertaken in two three-month shifts between October and March, respectively.
Within the functions of monitoring and control of the executed projects, technical staff of the State Public Employment Service carries out visits to the work of the approved reports to verify that the legal requirements are met.
