The Department of Sports of the City of Totana has started a campaign to promote sports volunteers to support and collaborate in the organization of the numerous sports activities that take place at the end of the year in this municipality during the wide calendar of sporting events.

The council of the branch, Isabel Maria Molino, and the municipal technician, Catalina Munuera, have presented this initiative that can include all individuals over 16 years who freely commit to perform this voluntary activity periodically.

The sports volunteers will collaborate in sports events organized by both the Department of Sports and sports clubs totaneros.

The main functions of the sports volunteer are support in loading, unloading and assembly of infrastructure, registration, dorsal delivery in each event if required, attending the participants in the Information Point, wardrobe service, service Provisioning, control at crossings supporting Local Police and Civil Protection, support organization in exit and goal, and placement and delivery of medals and trophies.

Sports volunteers have some benefits for the provision of the activity, so that all those who acquire this condition, and who at least participate in 40% of the activities scheduled, will have the annual right from their date of discharge to Free registration, and discounts of more than 30% at the MOVE Sports Center, discounts of 50% on the program "Summer Sports" and discounts of 10% at the sports shops "Atenea Sport", "Deportes Molino" and "Décimas "Of Totana.

Those interested in being sports volunteers must register in person at the offices of the Department of Sports, located in the Municipal Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez", from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The councilor encouraged the young people and students of Totana to become sport volunteers, given that they have many advantages and benefits, as well as the possibilities of socializing and meeting new lovers of sports.

At present, the volunteer sports bag of the Council is eight people, and the desirable thing to cover the 15 tests scheduled annually in different disciplines would be about 35 people, so that each could participate in about five or six events each year .
