It meets, for the first time in this legislature, the Work Table of the General Municipal Plan of Ordination (04/04/2017)

The Work Table of the General Plan for Municipal Planning (PGMO) met yesterday, for the first time in this legislature, in order to propose alternatives to the existing gap between general systems and building volume, among other issues, which are generating a wide Political debate and disputes with a sector of the business fabric of Totana.

The mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánovas, had convened the Working Group of the PGMO to comply with the recent plenary agreement of the last ordinary session of March, held precisely last week.

The Working Group of the PGMO, which met frequently in the previous legislature, was attended by representatives of each of the four municipal groups with institutional representation in the City Council;

Representatives of the CEBAG and AEMCO;

And different municipal technicians of the Department of Urbanism.

In addition, it was presided over by the mayor and assisted by the secretary general.

The mayor explained that the meeting was "very clarifying", since he said, "it became clear the distances between public demonstrations that are made and the existing reality";

And added that "at this first meeting, no viable and coherent alternatives were put on the table for the moment, as the suggested ones do not have much technical or political consistency."

In addition, the mayor has stressed "the good will and intentionality of all parties to continue moving forward";

And has informed that the table will continue with its calendar of meetings to study the possible alternatives that are being made, while specifying that they have been presented around 400 "different" allegations.

According to the Mayor explained, Ganar Totana-IU, PP and AEMCO are calling for a "fast" approval of the PGMO document and then open a participatory process that allows for progressive modifications according to the actual urban planning needs and continue to make contributions, but With it already approved;

While the PSOE and CEBAG defend the renewal of a broader debate on the document which, in his opinion, "only prolong its approval in time without technical or political consistency."

According to him, the PSOE made a series of proposals, some of them shared by the CEBAG, such as covering the ravine of La Santa, find a new location to the cemetery between the Tennis Club and the area of La Paloma and use the forecast area Of growth of the current cemetery as a green area, expanding green areas in the north and west rounds, creating green areas in Las Cabezuelas, reducing the current projected leisure area to become green and PERI in the most affected areas ( Era Alta, San José and El Parral).

Reply to full agreement

The Plenary approved last week an agreement giving green light to an amendment to the whole of the PP to a motion of the PSOE that considered the possibility of making a new period of public exposure of the document of the General Municipal Plan of Ordination.

The proposal of the Popular Group was approved, with the popular votes and abstention of Ganar Totana-IU, C's and PSOE, after a Socialist Group compromise was rejected on the matter.

The initiative proposed that the table of work of the PGMO constituted in the previous legislature be reconsidered in order to find an alternative referring to the heights, if any, and that this alternative should serve as a tool for the municipal technicians drafting the Plan to be able to To consider the allegations relating to this issue.

In addition, it was agreed that said Bureau would undertake to work intensively and continue in the search for possible alternative proposals to avoid hampering the work of the municipal drafters of the Plan;

As well as giving the support of the Corporation to the verbal proposal of the Mayor to admit to processing the allegations presented until 31 March.
