D'Genes will deliver its 2017 Awards on February 18 in the course of a Gala dinner (10/02/2017)

The Association of Rare Diseases D'Genes will deliver on February 18 its 2017 Awards in the course of a gala dinner.

The awards aim to recognize the solidarity and struggle of people, institutions and companies that make visible the reality of diseases of low prevalence and that support and empower the affected to continue day by day.

The list of winners, chosen by the board of directors of D'Genes, includes, in the category of Solidarity Company to the firm Hero, while in the Public Institution will be awarded to the City of Campos del Río for its unconditional support in all Activities of promotion and visibility of the rare diseases that are organized in that municipality.

The prize for Solidarity will be for Guillermo Nevado Cabrera, a person who in private has collaborated with D'Genes showing the value of individual involvement.

In the category of Volunteering and Social Promotion this year the award will be for Carlos Montserrat, D'Genes volunteer since 2010, while in the section of Labor Médica Pedro HernándezJiménez, manager of the Hospital de Molina de Segura.

GessineHernann, a person who through his handwork of scarves and hats, has been giving donations to D'Genes for 3 years, will receive the Social Work award.

The recognition of the Institutional Support will be granted to the Municipality of Molina de Segura, while the Solidary Professional will be awarded to Natalia Segura, a psychologist at the Pediatric Palliative Care Program D'Genes.

The Club Simao (Cehegín) and Los Gauchos (Totana) groups will share the Social Collaboration award, while the president of the Association ADIBI and vice president of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER), Fide Miron, will collect the Person or Family courage.

Jannsen will receive the award that D'Genes grants to the Pharmaceutical Industry and Health 21 publication of the Media, for his great work of disseminating news of interest for rare diseases.

Finally, the Special Award 2017 granted by D'Genes has decided to award this year to the Bernal Family.

From D'Genes they want to congratulate all the winners, who will be given the prize at a dinner at the Restaurant Sale La Rata de Totana, also enlivened with musical performance, for which there are still tickets available, and whose benefits will go to the Projects developed by the association to improve the quality of life of those affected by rare diseases.
