They will ask the General Water Directorate for the construction of the second phase in the Lébor sanitation network (21/11/2016)

The Councilor for Water and Sewer, Antonia Camacho, has raised a motion to the November plenary to request the General Directorate of Water to execute and finance the works consisting of the construction of the public sewer to the housing in the core of Lébor Alto From the restaurant "Miras" to the Way of the Schools.

The City of Totana will request that the works of the second phase in the secondary sanitation network be carried out by virtue of the report made by the municipal technical services and that would have a cost of approximately 170,000 euros.

The initiative would contemplate the coordination and the commitment of the neighbors to make their connections to the network once the works were undertaken in the general pipeline of 400 millimeters and just over 300 meters in length.

In 2012 a work was carried out with a cost of more than 1,300,000 euros by the Autonomous Community consisting of the execution of the emissary to evacuate wastewater from homes and facilities in the hamlet of Lébor Alto to the wastewater treatment plant Of Totana.

As recorded in the motion, over the years we find ourselves with an expensive investment and with a minimum yield when not being able to be used by the neighbors since it was not realized what would be the second phase of the works.

The neighbors continue to use the blind wells, while the emissary continues, practically without being used.

From the Department of Water and Sewerage, it is considered urgent to undertake by phases the construction of secondary networks so that the neighbors are connecting their connections to the sanitation network.

Of course, the works would start in the area where there are more consolidated homes, as is the case in front of the restaurant "Miras" (where there is a well of the emissary) to the Way of the Schools, to continue in Future works with the expansion to the hamlet of this vital service so important for health and quality of life.

In meetings with the Director General of Water, the possibility of investing in wastewater treatment and purification has always been informed through European ERDF funds;

For which reason the Council considers this work a priority, once the completion of the Sewerage networks in El Paretón-Cantareros has been achieved.
