The Department of Culture successfully held for the first time, the Evening of Habaneras and Popular Songs in different areas of town last Friday night in order to take up this musical tradition in the streets of Totana.
This initiative was intended mood and energize some of the squares of the urban city center coinciding with the festivities of Santiago.
The group "Friends of the Habanera" and the Gang "marzipan" acted in Miguel Marin Square (opposite the Bar Chamones) and Monument Square Potter (opposite Café Baraguey).
At the same time, the "San Buenaventura" and Choir "Santa Cecilia" groups performed their pieces in the Constitution Square, next to the figure of Santa Eulalia.
Now, from 23:00 joint action by all participating groups interpreting the habanera totanero composer Ramon Hernandez Cano entitled "To you" it was held in the Plaza of the Constitution.
The event was attended by the Councillor for Culture, Eulalia Moreno, who gave some gifts to participating groups and congratulated them for the initiative.
