Users and professionals Day Center for Intellectual Disability "José Moya" and the Day Centre for Persons with Mental Illness City of Totana, accompanied by the Councillor for Social Welfare, Javier Baños and the regional deputy Alfonso Martínez Baños, enjoyed a special day in the Regional Assembly of Cartagena.

A total of 44 users (including 7 wheelchairs were) and 12 professionals, divided into two vans and an adapted bus, moved in the morning to the headquarters of the Regional Assembly, where they were received by various professionals Parliament of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.

During the visit, they were accompanied and directed by Manuela Hernandez Morales, assistant Citizen Relations, who was telling the audience all the details of this building, which includes the most representative elements of the Levantine architecture, harmonizing with the artistic legacy of cultures who lived in our territory.

The tour started in the so-called Patio of the municipalities where the shields and names of the different municipalities in the region, ending in a nearly transparent dome that allows light to pass shown.

In addition, users continued to admire the allegorical murals of the sea, the garden and industry adorning many walls of this building.

Already on the first floor, they visited the Plenary Hall or Hemicycle, a very original stay, with its marble columns, and in which users could occupy the seats of 45 deputies.

They were able to ask questions and requests to totanero deputy, Alfonso Martínez Baños and the councilman of Social Welfare, Javier Baños, who kindly attended all comments and opinions from attendees.

Arrival time and the food, they moved to the cafeteria located within the premises of the building, where they ate and prepared to initiate the return to Totana.

This output is included in the therapeutic program of both day centers;

and it has been useful for working educational and cultural aspects, as well as communication skills and integration into the community.
