The public library "Mateo Garcia" Totana will become the nerve center of the activities organized by the Department of Culture to mark the "Day Book", to be extended from 11 to 29 April, both inclusive.
Book Day is commemorated on 23 April but throughout the month will be held various activities such as workshops to encourage reading, book presentations and others.
From 11 to 29 April will promote the campaign "Solidarity Donation" in the library "Mateo Garcia", with which each user to bring a nonperishable food duplicate a book fund of the municipal library will be.
The food delivery schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, respectively.
On 11 and 18 April, from 17:30 pm, will take place the Workshop Reading Promotion "Doctor cuentitis" which will focus on "Don Quixote", whose registration is free from April 4, with a maximum of 25 children aged between 6 and 9 years.
In addition, on April 12, it will be held at 19:00 hours, the awards ceremony of the II Story Contest "Morerica Galan" in the theater of Socio-Cultural Center "Jail", and the presentation of book and storytellers, an hour later, entitled "Rudo and Pisa".
The April 15 will be at 20:00 pm in the library, the presentation of the book "For the greatness of our country. Biopolitical in Franco's Spain," by Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Murcia Salvador Sanchez Cayuela.
On April 20 the activity "The library in the street" in the weekly market, from 10:00 to 13:00 hours will be held;
and on April 21, will be the presentation of the story "The Snooty puss. A Tale of sensations, feelings and colors," authored Pillajo Ximena Perez.
Also, on April 22 will be the sixth edition of "traveler Book", an activity which will distribute books accompanied by an explanatory leaflet tucked into an airtight bag throughout the day and in different parts of the town of Totana to awaken the interest of users.
That same day will take place on Storyteller "The Snooty puss" in the library from 17:30 whose registration is free.
The program will conclude on April 26 with the activity of "Reading Club" on the play "A uncommon reader" which will be at 19:30 pm in the Socio-Cultural Center "Jail."
