The Municipal Corporation, with its mayor Juan Jose Canovas at the head, have shown their support and solidarity with claims to boost research and budget of health administrations occasion of World Day Lipodystrophies held this coming March 31 .

Representatives of the different municipal groups of the municipal institution has concentrated on symbolic and testimonial at the gates of the main facade of the City of Totana way to dramatize their support to this cause, which were accompanied by officers and members of the Association of Relatives and Affected by lipodystrophies (AELIP).

Totana City Council has joined precisely this week to mark World Day Lipodystrophies held this Thursday, March 31, with the lighting of the main facade of the town hall with turquoise, as sources from the Department of Social Welfare.

Totana Town Council will remain on throughout the week to celebrate this day of protest for research in the lipodystrophy that promotes the Association of Families and Affected by Lipodystrophies (AELIP), based in Totana.

The event was attended by the leaders of ERDF, Juan Carrion, AELIP, Naca Perez de Tudela, and representatives of different social and neighborhood groups of Totana;

who represented a "human L" in the Constitution Square, symbol of claim by lipodystrophy.

AELIP president said that with the lighting of City Hall in turquoise visibility is given to the claims and raise public awareness of this reality.

For its part, responsible for ERDF thanked the Municipal Corporation for their involvement and solidarity that enables all together and united, support the claims of this group;

He is adding that this event has been held for three years and has managed to involve 30 countries from all continents.

The City Council and its facade looked in other colors to commemorate precisely other social awareness initiatives: green for people with intellectual disabilities and violet on the occasion of working women.
