Technical Advisory Service User of Totana Municipal Services offered on Tuesday a briefing to students of IES "Juan de la Cierva" on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Consumer Rights.
The recipients were students of 3rd and 4th of ESO of this institute, who were accompanied by their teachers, who study the subject of "Education in values" in which concepts of global character as the consumer society were addressed and consumerism, responsible consumption and food labeling, textile and energy.
Besides the social consequences of acts of consumption based on the conditions of production of goods in Third World countries, timber certification or sustainable and organic farming, pollution of seas by plastic waste, waste from electronic equipment were addressed, recycling mobile, advertising, child labor and fair trade, among others.
The activity was well received by attendees and business left open to expand in future sessions possible under the programming center and fit into their curriculum were discussed.
