The Municipal Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez" hosts, from tomorrow until Saturday, March 12, the International Boxing Tournament "Ciudad de Totana", which will involve about a hundred fighters of absolute category of 9 different nationalities.
The tournament "Multi Nation Tournament Elite Club" is organized by the local club "Sam Storey Boxing" of this town, and has the support of the territorial and Spanish federations of boxing and the Department of Sports totanero Consistory.
The first deputy mayor, Andrés García, and the CEOs of Sports and Tourism, Alonso Gomez and Manuel Fernández-Delgado, presented this test, accompanied by the president of the Murcia Boxing Federation, Felipe Martinez, the mayor of Sports, Isabel Maria Molino.
The tournament, whose entrance is free all three days of the event, hosting over the coming days to 88 athletes in male and female category federations Portugal, Luxembourg, Poland, Moldova, Russia, Italy, England, Germany and Spain.
According to the organizers, many of the fighters who gathered in Totana will represent their home countries in the next Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, so the level is the same professional category.

The test will start tomorrow, Thursday, from 17:00 hours, which will start the quarterfinal competition;
and will continue on Friday, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00, with the dispute of the semifinals.
On Saturday, from 11:00 hours, the finals and the awards giving terminate the contest will be held.
Currently, the Region of Murcia has 23 clubs distributed by the municipalities of the autonomous region and some 300 federal licenses.
The Director General of Sports stressed that the tournament becomes a "test bed" for athletes who want to represent their respective countries at the Olympics in Rio.
For its part, the director general of Tourism stressed that tests of this kind, in which the sport is linked to tourism, the tourism seasonality of Murcia breaks.
