The mayor explains the new flexibility measures agreed for the mobility of vehicles, regarding the entry and exit to the urban area from this week (27/07/2020)

| Juan José Cánovas sends a message of solidarity to the mayors of Lorca and Mazarrón after the warning of the Minister of Health to take measures if the epidemiological evolution of cases does not improve in both municipalities | The mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánovas, has publicly explained the new flexibilization measures agreed for the mobility of vehicles, regarding the entry and exit to the urban area from this week; that will be put into operation by the members of the Security Corps and Forces as of 2:00 pm today.The first mayor wanted to account for the entry and exit of vehicles to the urban area of ??Totana from the A7 motorway, now authorizing access, always for justified reasons, through the links of the "El Saladar" industrial estate - in the direction to the Circunvalación Norte-, Totana Centro and Lébor; and that they have been agreed this morning at the COVID-19 Local Monitoring Coordination Table.In addition, the alderman has announced that 108 contagions of the outbreak of Totana are counted and there is a neighbor of this town in the ICU of the Santa Lucía hospital; and has reported that the COVID-19 Regional Monitoring Commission will decide, in the next 24 or 48 hours, whether to maintain the situation of isolation of phase 1 or to arbitrate other measures based on the evolution of the outbreak from the midnight this Thursday.It has also reiterated its request for collaboration and understanding to the workers and residents of Totana in the face of this extraordinary situation as a result of the measures adopted by the regional government, following the technical recommendations of the Epidemiology Service of the Ministry of Health, due to the increase in infections recorded in a nightlife venue.The mayor explained that the City Council continues, with loyalty, collaborating with the different administrations and institutions, in the search for solutions to a situation of extreme health and social emergency such as this.Juan José Cánovas wanted to send a message of solidarity to the mayors of Lorca and Mazarrón after the warning from the Health Minister to take measures if the epidemiological evolution of cases does not improve in both municipalities; and hopes "that they do not see themselves in a trance in the face of this situation of uncertainty that Totana is going through".
