The 35th Subida a la Santa is canceled due to COVID-19 (03/07/2020)

COMUNICA: The CANCELLATION of the 35th edition of the Ascent to the Sanctuary of the Saint due to COVID-19, after evaluating together with the local and regional health authorities the evolution of the pandemic in recent weeks, which forces us to carry out an act of responsibility and avoid situations that could lead us to promote a possible outbreak of the pandemic.After the publication of the Resolution of June 19 of the Governing Council approving the prevention and containment measures applicable in the Region of Murcia to face the health crisis caused by COVID-19, study the requirements for the tests sports developed in the natural environment, and hold an exclusive meeting recently with the General Directorate of Sports of Murcia, Department of Sports of Totana, Federation of Motoring of the Region of Murcia and the Automobile Club Totana, the decision has been made to cancel of the test after the recommendations made by public administrations and non-viability of compliance with applicable regulations in a test that brings together thousands of viewers during its development.It is news that saddens us but we also have to be aware of the high responsibility we have as an organizing entity and the duty to collaborate to end as soon as possible this pandemic, still very present in our territory.We want to thank all the brands and companies that have been supporting and continue to bet on the Subida a la Santa as one of the great sporting events in the Region of Murcia, the Directorate General for Sports for their commitment to continue in the coming years to the test, to the rest of the public administrations and to the RFEDA and FARMU for the efforts and advice given in the post to be able to hold the test this season.From this moment we start working with great enthusiasm in the 2021 seasonCLUB TOTANA AUTOMOBILE
