Peña Alegría, first prize foreign comparsas of the IV Parade of Carnival Parades of Torre Pacheco (09/03/2020)

Torre Pacheco enjoyed a parade with 37 parades that filled the streets with light and color

The parade of comparsas, toured the streets of Torre Pacheco, before thousands of people, who enjoyed a show of light, color, joy and fantasy;

A total of 37 high quality troupes, which did not make it easy for the jury, who valued costumes, choreography, makeup and staging.

The first prize of foreign comparsas, went to Peña Alegría, of Totana, which a year more surprised the public, with a spectacular staging, of great showyness, that raised the applause of the public;

in costume and staging inspired by Aztec mythology, Goddesses, mythological animals, and a pyramid, with aerobatic and aerial dance assembly, as reported by municipal sources in a statement.

The second prize went to Media Luna, from Librilla, with a theme inspired by Kings and Queens, a group that has won different awards this year in the region, and Alejandro Corbalán, a troupe from Murcia, with fantasy inspired by the Hindu world, was awarded The third prize.

The first prize of local troupes of Torre Pacheco was obtained by the dance school, Ultimate Dance, endowed with a thousand euros.

The fantastic staging, with a theme of the film Great Showman, which represents non-discrimination for being different, with a message of struggle and overcoming, together with a great choreography, raised it to the top of the Pachequero Carnival.

Founded in 2012 by Paco Pulido in Dolores de Pacheco, Ultimate Dance emerged with the aim of showing dance as a way of life, and soon began to reap awards, regionally and nationally, and to act in numerous Show.

In addition, Doña Cuaresma 2020 in Torre Pacheco belongs to this Dance School.

The second prize went to Replay and the third to Kimbara.

The awards were presented in the Town Hall square at the end of the parade, during a party that brought together hundreds of participants and spectators.

In addition to the prizes awarded, due to the high quality of the comparsas, the jury delivered special mentions to Peña in Almíbar, Dakarais, Peña Aguanile and Shambala.

Francisco Pizana, president of the Torrevieja Carnival, Nuria Sendra, director of the Makeup School, Nuria Sendra de Murcia and Maria José Buitrago, choreographer and director of the Buitrago Academy of Ballet of Murcia, Jury of the IV Carnival Parade Parade Competition Torre Pacheco, this year, their work was very complicated, due to the high quality of the participating groups.
