Last weekend the Benjamines of the Totana Hockey Club debuted in the official competition of the Valencian Federation, given that the Region of Murcia does not have official competition in this sports discipline.

The totanero team, made up of children from Totana born from 2008 onwards, moved to the city of Murcia, where two meetings were held.

In the sports complex, "José Barnés", clashes took place before the leader of the category, HC Concentaina B, and the second classified, HC Concentaina A. The meetings, on this occasion, resulted in two defeats for those of Totana , although the coach, Alain Martínez, was very satisfied with the start of the competition, as well as with the good attitude of his young players.

The totanera expedition, on this occasion, was composed of Ángela, David, José Miguel, Isabel María, Javier, Mario and Carlos, who also served as an assistant.

During the games, spectacular plays could be seen and the interesting evolution of the youngest members of the club was verified.

In this way one of the challenges of the totanero Club for this year is being fulfilled: participating in an official competition.

This challenge is a great effort for players and their families for two reasons.

The first is that they will have to make long trips to compete with clubs in the provinces of Alicante and Valencia.

The second reason is that the matches as local involve the displacement to the city of Murcia, not having, for the moment, the municipality of Totana with an installation with the necessary equipment (fences) for the official practice of Roller Hockey.

Also to the families of the players for their support and commitment to this sport.

Likewise, the club and its fans are grateful to the City Council of Totana for the transfer of training facilities.

At the same time they hope that the new Municipal Corporation will have the sensitivity and the decision to collect the demands of this sports discipline, which the Club has been requesting for the past seven years.
