Civil Protection of Totana informs that the existing barbecues in the different places and recreational areas existing in the Sierra Espuña regional park can be used from today, October 1, and until May 31 to make fires for cooking country.
The realization of fires can be carried out exclusively in the areas enabled during the year in the place of La Santa, more specifically in El Grifo and El Ángel, which are the only ones already existing in the regional park.
There was a ban, like every summer, for cooking in the bush with both barbecues and using gas-camping, under the measures included in the INFOMUR Plan.
In this way, it is expressly authorized to carry out fires in the authorized areas during the rest of the year.
Civil Protection in this town appreciates the collaboration of all users and visitors to Sierra de Espuña during the summer months in order to avoid unpleasant accidents on the natural environment, more in a summer of extreme drought like the one that has taken place until the beginning of September.
The fundamental objective of the Emergency Civil Protection Plan for Forest Fires in the Region of Murcia (INFOMUR Plan) is to establish the hierarchical and functional organization in order to protect people, property and the environment.
