The II Totana Beer Fair is held during this next weekend, from September 27 to 29, in the Old Balsa Square, organized by the Culture Rock Association of this town, for the benefit of the Lateral Sclerosis Association Amyotrophic (ELA) of the Region of Murcia.
The Councilor for Culture, Verónica Carricondo, presented this new event accompanied by the representative of the Culture Rock Association, Marcos Dourado, and the president of the Association of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ELA) of the Region of Murcia, Damián Guerao López.
The fair will feature exhibitors in which a total of eight beer companies and artisans from the Region of Murcia and Almeria will offer their products and conduct tastings to visitors, with a rock festival and numerous live musical activities.
In this regard, on Friday 27, at 9:30 p.m., "RockCola" rock versions will perform;
and at 11:30 pm, the group "Special RC" pop-rock versions will.
On Saturday 28, at 11:30 p.m., "Luis Cruz and the Furgoband" "Topo" guitar will perform.
On Sunday 29, from 10:00 a.m., the rock appetizer will be offered to the attendees coinciding with the "Alhabama Band" concert.
In addition, this year the organization of the fair wanted to give visibility to the social and socio-health reality of this pathology of the central nervous system, characterized by a progressive degeneration of motor neurons.
Its main clinical feature is muscle weakness that progresses to paralysis, extending from one body region to another;
so that the disappearance of motor neurons results in neurodegeneration and muscular atrophy.
Gradually, patients begin to have problems in functions as basic as walking, eating, talking or getting out of bed.
And they are totally aware of their disease, their intellectual capacity remains intact.
The promoters of the fair encouraged beer and rock music lovers to attend this cultural event that was born last year with a vocation to give continuity over time;
and that will be officially opened on Friday, starting at 8:00 p.m.
