The totanero player and director of the Tennis School of the Totana Tennis Club Pedro Cánovas has won for the second consecutive year, together with his team of the Murcia Tennis Club, the gold medal in the Senior European Championship for teams played in the facilities from La Manga Club.
In addition to Pedro Cánovas, the Murcian team consists of players Juan Antonio Marín (Ex 50 ATP), Angel Alonso and Antonio Alcaraz and Captain Florencio Soto.
The Murcia team defeated the different national champions of Latvia, Lithuania and the two participating Swedish teams that won the silver and bronze medal respectively.
In the final the Murcian team won the Swedish champion from Stockholm by 3 to 2, winning Pedro Cánovas and Juan Antonio Marín the decisive double since after the singles the result was 2-1 in favor of the Murcia.
When he finished the double of Canovas-Marín, Angel Alonso and Antonio Alcaraz were winning 7-5 3-1 so the tie was also on track with his doubles.
This MCT team has managed to revalidate the title won last year.
In LA Manga, more than 150 players from teams from all over Europe met, playing the +35,40,45 and 50 male and female categories.
