The Musical Group of Totana announces the First Contest for Young Soloists.
According to their website, four categories will be taken into account:
1Βͺ Under 16 years of age belonging to the Musical Group of Totana.
2Βͺ Under 16 years old not belonging to the Musical Group of Totana.
3rd From 16 to 30 years old belonging to the Musical Group of Totana.
4th From 16 to 30 years old not belonging to the Musical Group of Totana.
From each of these categories a participant will pass to the final, which will have the opportunity to play as a soloist in the concert that the Music Band of the Totana Music Group will offer on November 29, 2019. In this concert the interpretation of each of the 4 soloists will be valued and the prizes of the contest will be awarded according to the order in which the jury places each of the four soloists.

Bases Contest Young Soloists
The Musical Association of Totana creates a Young Performers Contest, with the aim of encouraging musical education, with pieces of symphonic band, which will reward the selected ones with the opportunity to offer a concert with the Band itself, on November 29 in Totana.
The call, which offers four modalities, one for children under 16 years and another for young musicians between 16 and 30 years, each of them differentiating members of the group and external, establishes the instrumental specialties of: flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba and percussion.
Each participant will be able to compete only in one modality and with a single instrument, except in percussion.
The works to be interpreted in the recording will be those exhibited in the contest rules.
Applicants must fill out, before May 1 at 10:00 hours, the following form: link of the form, including a video recording, with a minimum duration of 2 minutes and a maximum of 10, of the work to be interpreted.
The video will be included in the form, as well as the personal data of the contestant: DNI, contact telephone number, email address and title of the work.
Participants who need to provide the scores of the work to interpret from the organization of the contest, may do so by sending an email requesting it to the following address: info@agrupacionmusicaldetotana.com, must include in the email the participant's data, the instrument with which it is presented and the chosen work.
A court composed of four music professionals, will select 4 finalists;
two of each modality;
who will perform the chosen work with the Municipal Band of Music in the concert to be held on November 29, 2019, in the Municipality, that same day the finalists will be qualified and the winner of the contest will be announced.
The winner of this I Competition of Young Performers will also get 300 euros, the second, third and fourth place will get 200, 100 and 50 euros respectively.
All prizes are fully subsidized by Sanganxa to make use of them in any of its stores.
The finalists will obtain a diploma that certifies their participation.
