The implementation of this program in the "IES Juan de la Cierva" was a pioneer and encouraged the implementation of this in the other center, but despite the fact that this baccalaureate was implemented for the first time in the 2005/2006 course by order of 6 October 2005, of the Ministry of Education and Culture, authorizing it on an experimental basis, to the IES «Juan de la Cierva y Codorniú», of Totana, to impart the teachings leading to the obtaining of the Diploma of "International Baccalaureate".

As of the school year 2005/2006, this "Bachillerato" continues to maintain the experimental character after being 13 years implanted in the Region of Murcia.
