Win Totana IU raises to the Plenary a Motion to reject the attitude of the Supreme Court annulling the Judgment on the Legal Expenses for Mortgages, "proving to be at the Service of the Bank" (24/10/2018)

And urges the Government to create a Public Bank taking advantage of the Bankia Entity, which was rescued with more than 24,000 million public money

The Municipal Group of Win Totana IU, through its Spokesman, Juan José Cánovas, has raised an Urgent Motion to the Plenary that is held on Thursday for "the City Council to show its rejection of the unprecedented and shameful decision of the Supreme Court to leave without effect their own Sentence 1505/2018 on the taxpayer of the Tax on Documented Legal Acts "that affects thousands of families totaneras and millions of citizens / as in the Spanish State.

In the same Motion, Win Totana, proposes that the City Council establish a Counseling Service to people affected by undue charges, guiding for their claim and return of what was paid when formalizing their mortgages.

They also argue the imperative need that in Spain there is a Public Bank that encourages the economic sector, supports the Local Corporations and is a counterweight to the current banking system based on practices that border on usury.

Across Europe, the weight of Public Banking is very strong and in Germany, for example, accounts for 24% of the total.

In Spain, we have used billions to rescue bankrupt banks and an Entity such as Bankia, received 22,424 million euros from the public treasury and the Mare Nostrum Bank (Old Caja Murcia), 1845 million euros.

They urge the Government to create a Public Bank in the service of general interests, starting with Bankia and not privatizing it as has been done with other entities.

In the case of the recent Judgment -whose litigation began after a dispute between the City Council of Rivas Vaciamadrid governed by IU and with José Masa de Alcalde at the beginning of the conflict-, the servility of the Judicial Branch to the Bank is revealed , passing over millions of humble families who have unjustly paid a tax that did not correspond to them according to the Judgment of the Contentious Administrative Chamber of the Spanish High Court.

"From Ganar Totana we consider the defense of the interests of the humble families against the powerful ones that influence and command a Bank so necessary to update, applying the Constitution, as the Archaic Judicial Branch with serious Francoist remnants, needed democratic values. and of the Constitution, ventilate their structures ... ", Cánovas has highlighted.
