The rubble of minor works, bulky (furniture, mattresses and other appliances), wood and household appliances are the domestic and commercial waste most deposited in the municipal eco-park by Totana users, according to the annual report prepared by the Department of Environment Environment and Urban Solid Waste corresponding to the year 2017.
During this exercise, 244,600 kilograms of rubble from minor works, 124,560 bulky items such as cabinets, mattresses, doors and other furniture, 56,183 from electrical appliances and 49,858 from various woods were collected in the municipal eco-park.
In addition, 28,500 kilograms of metals, 22,590 of plastics, 17,480 of pruning and 4,788 of paper-cardboard were collected in the eco-park.
The collection of 1,183 kilograms of batteries, batteries and accumulators was also recorded in the park;
1,900 liters of contaminated oils and greases, 1,984 of paints, 1,900 of flat glass, 1,324 of clothing, 1,170 of contaminated containers and 1,887 of chemical waste.
Likewise, 660 kilograms of packaging glass, 657 toner, 460 liters of cooking oils, 201 fluorescent tubes, 107 aerosols and 32 x-ray paper were registered.
The schedule of the municipal eco-park in the summer months, until September 15, is from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., from Tuesday to Friday;
and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
In winter, it is the same schedule but the afternoons are from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Councilor for the Environment, Antonia Camacho, has shown her satisfaction with the levels of collection and recycling that have been taking place in the municipality in recent years through this municipal service, which have been progressively becoming increasingly high;
and has encouraged users to continue with this public awareness to maintain and exceed the indexes of previous years.
