The institutional act of inauguration of the new "Santa María Cleofé Garden and Coronation of Thorns" will be held on June 9, the Day of the Region of Murcia, starting at 9:45 pm, in compliance with the plenary mandate of the past month of March.

The mayor of Totana, Andrés García, raised a motion to the full ordinary of the aforementioned month proposing to name the park-garden located at the door of the headquarters of the Brotherhood "Santa Maria Cleofé Garden and Coronation of Thorns".

The proposal came to respond to the petition filed by this Brotherhood on February 1 in which he requested the request.

The councilor proposed this initiative for consideration by the plenary, considering that the Brotherhood of Santa María Cleofé and Coronación de Espinas is one of the oldest and most representative of Holy Week in Totana;

and taking into account its cultural relevance, which became evident this year 2018 in which it has been the image of the poster announcing the local Holy Week.

The brotherhood has programmed, for this festive day, a procession with the extraordinary image with the image of Santa Maria Cleofé (19:15 hours), with departure in the house-headquarters in the street Galicia and with the following itinerary: streets of Carmen , Ramblica, Father Melchor de Benisa, Juan XXIII, Plaza de Juan XXIII and parish of the Three Hail Marys.

At 20:30 a Holy Mass will be celebrated in honor of Santa Maria Cleofé in the parish of the Three Hail Marys and, at 21:15, there will be a transfer from the parish to the headquarters of the brotherhood through the Plaza Juan XXIII, La Fuente, Maderera streets, Maderera square, La Monja, Ramblica, Bolnuevo and Galicia.

Then, at 20:45 hours, it will be the institutional act, with the presence of municipal authorities and representatives of the Illustrious Superior Chapter of Processions.

The day will end with a great verberna, organized by the brotherhood, in the adjacent park entertained by the musical group "FYV Band" of Aledo.
