The city of Totana will host the next day June 9, celebration of the Day of the Region of Murcia, the IX Folkloric Festival and Costumbrista Parade that will be organized by the Peña "Mantellina" and the group of Choirs and Dances "Ciudad de Totana" this locality

The Councilor for Culture, Eulalia Moreno, and two of the promoters of this cultural event, Lola López and Eduardo Montserrat, presented this activity that is also part of the cultural program of the "Centennial of the City" for the quarter from May to July , and in which they have been working for more than a year.

The program will start at 7:00 pm with the reception of the participating groups by the municipal authorities in the plenary hall of the Totana City Council and the coronation of the children and youthful queen, and the "güerteros" of honor;

and at 8:00 p.m., an orchard mass will be celebrated in the parish of Santiago el Mayor.

When this ends, at around 8:45 pm, the Costumbrista Parade will take place from the Plaza de la Constitución to the municipal auditorium "Marcos Ortiz", where typical costumes and regional dances will be staged, along with typical elements, trades and customs. the huerta and the field Murcia.

During the "Güetero" parade the traditions of Totana will be presented, with groups of folklore, floats and traditional elements of craftsmanship, the countryside, the orchards and traditions of Totana.

Starting at 22:00 hours, the Folk Festival is expected to begin at the municipal auditorium "Marcos Ortiz", in which the children's groups "Santísima Cruz" from Abanilla, "San Francisco de Asís" from Murcia and Coros and will participate. Dances "City of Totana".

Admission is free although there is the possibility of enjoying a table and Murcia dinner for ten euros, according to the organizers.
