The council has the schedule for developing the Municipal Accessibility Plan (11/05/2010)

The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, have reported the onset of joint actions for the development of a Municipal Accessibility Plan to improve the accessibility of spaces, buildings and our local municipality, to achieve greater personal autonomy of the disabled in accordance with the principles of accessibility, integration and standardization.

Therefore, the local administration is marked as a priority within this year, working in coordination with all actors involved in the development of a Municipal Accessibility Plan to provide adequate solutions to the particularities of the housing and urban settings of the municipality , capable of achieving the above objectives.

Here are some of the main objectives pursued both public administration and from the various associations and nonprofit entities working in the field of disability, as noted by the mayor.

Schedule for the preparation of the Plan

For the preparation of this Plan has established a schedule to be distributed in stages.

The second phase of this Plan, which will run from June until September, consist of the study and needs analysis and diagnosis of the situation, and the third phase, to be held in October, will consist of design and implementation of actions as well as programming the accessibility plan.

After finishing the field work, propose actions to be carried out to make accessible spaces, buildings and transport by acting on the breaches found, and the month of November this year is expected to approve this Plan.
